959
UNFASTEN YOUR SEATBELT The story of 959 started in 2009 with a philosophy of upcycling used seat belts made from polyester ribbons to eye catching objects. This represents the brands commitment to being environmental responsibility. Materials are reshaped and fashioned into distinctive bags of sophistication ranging from shoulder, messenger, shopping, and laptop to include home furnishings such as trunks and ottomans. The 959 concept represents innovation coupled with a strong aesthetic. This dual approach is the brands philosophy while being eco-friendly. Employing state of the art recycling techniques, the polyester ribbons are cut, sewn, then assembled into threads. The finished materials are weaved together then shaped into the final product with the 959 logo fitted underscoring the attention to detail and quality. Produced in Milan, 959 epitomizes the best Italian of craftsmanship and skills. Paolo Ferrari was born and raised in the Brianza district of Milan, an area famous for furnishing brands Cassina, B&B, and Poliform. He received his degree in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Milano. He followed his passion for design and fashion by launching 959 in 2009. |
