Paolo Pedrizzetti, born 1947, sciences studies, degree in Architecture at Milan polytechnic University in 1973, experiences in building design and building site management until 1978, when he started activity as product designer in collaboration with Davide Mercatali.
This collaboration, which then developed into a associated studio in 1982, gave rise to industrial products that had considerable commercial success, and were characterized by a precise image, with a strong advertising character: taps, shelves, cutlery, lamps, home appliances, chairs, tables, fire-places, bathroom accessories and pottery articles. In 1988 he founded the Paolo Pedrizzetti & Associati studio, with his wife Raffaella Mattia. From 1988 to 1994 is chief editor of both Blu&Rosso and Bagno&Bagni trade magazines. In 1993, he is one of the promoter of the Cultural Society ABC Incontri sul Progetto. From 1995 to 2008 works with Il Bagno Oggi e Domani magazine, published by Reed Business Information. In 1997 his son Davide, architect too, started working in the studio. Consultant for the development of new products and the communication of some major industrial groups. |

Selected pieces are in the permanent collection of Museums in Chicago-Ill and San Diego-Cal (USA), MOMA in New York (USA), Munich (Germany) and Prato (Florence-Italy). Other articles have been chosen for the Compasso d’Oro (Milan) in 1979, 1981, 1987, 1991, for ADI Design Index 1998/1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, for BIO (Lubijana) in 1981, 1984, 1992, 1996 and ADI-Thecnhotel (Genoa) in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991. In 2002 wins the Comfort & Design–ADI Award and the Red Dot Award by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. In 2008 wins the second prize in the International Design Awards - Los Angeles, Cal, USA. In 1993, a product is part of the merchandising of the MOMA in New York.
