The brief was to design a free flowing and flexible living space for a young family. The space also had to be capable of allowing them to entertain family and friends. We approached the project with an attempt to maintain and maximise light and how it played into the space, and through form and proportion by working in various materials and surfaces to obtain a balance in touch and feel and at the same time allowing each room to integrate into each other. Although this integration provided flexibility and fun the design also had to provide privacy which is achieved through a variety of visual barrier. In one of these instances a waterfall wall was used which allowed us to achieve privacy and added attention and movement to the space.
