Wuhan Molding Showhouse

Prize1st Place in Interior Design / Residential
Entry Description

This show house is inspired by “molding”. Molding is one of the important elements in continental style, but it becomes too tradition to use molding in the ceilings and walls nowadays. As the result, designers input new elements and spread the molding all over show house. With this innovative idea, not only enrich the visual effects and its vitality, but also enhancing the modern and grand style as well. As the molding lines effect is strong, only white, black and red being selected as the theme colour. Living and dining areas are in white color, in addition to white marble, there are molding in various length and sizes on the ceiling and walls. The molding being located seems-randomly-but-well placed and enhancing the spaciousness. Furthermore, to interpret the simple but stylish design, designers make use of molding to become the lamp shade. Stairs handles and the unique furniture are well interpreting the western interior design style. In addition, there are custom made screens in the dining area. To replace the curtain, designers make use of this white and see through screens, with repeating molding pattern, to enrich the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Another highlighted sight point is the feature wall of master bedroom. It is made up of ample laser cut wood panels, piled up to form a three dimensional molding panel with built-in wall lamp and bedside table. To ensure this extraordinary molding panel being chief attraction and avoid fancy décor affecting the overall design, the furniture is in simple shape and design details. Similar to living and dining areas, with strong molding lines features on cabinets and countertop, designers simply use black marble to match with theme color for kitchen. Without using too much color scheme and complicated design details, this black color kitchen is really in cool style.
