Entry Description

Plugs are usually white in colour which is very monotone and it turns yellow after a long period of time.I found out when one of the plugs is spolit, i cant change it.When i was in Legoland Malaysia, I found out how important is bright colours. Usage of bright colours makes the product more recognisable then white colours. Colours can also blend into the room if it is match nicely. Using the idea of having detachable sockets input and colours that creates people creativity, the concept design of colourful turtle shell that extends the amount of sockets at own will. People use different colours to identify different applications, thus able to know what to switch off. Different colours also prevent others from tripping over the sockets.Detachable sockets are make possible for people who need other types of sockets or different colour to add in. Different Sockets for different countries are available in all colours.

About Designer

Born in Singapore, Nicholas Tay is a designer that designs solutions for the daily existing problems that people faces. Inspirations of solutions shown in his designs come from the very simple objects we use and implement as concepts that would drive the product to the next level. Interestingly, his love for LED and design came when he was in his tertiary education at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore. 'Designs must have a tint of realism and creativity in order people to love and admire your works' is his motto in doing a conceptual design for the world to see.
