Livraria Cultura is the largest bookstore in Brazil, and in celebration of its 65th anniversary a range of gift packaging was developed for CD’s, DVD’s and books. The gift packs revive vintage medias based on the products bookstores have sold commercially over the past 65 years, but with a contemporary twist that leaves consumers playfully wondering, “Is it packaging, or is it an object?”. Drawing parallels not just between itself and the product, but also between the store and its history, creating an innovative concept that breaks away from traditional commemorative editions.
Casa Rex is a design house with operational bases in São Paulo and London.
