Entry Description

Pujols Kitchen Cookware is an innovative, new product line brought to life by the desire to share the culinary culture of the Dominican Republic with a mission to provide aid to poverty-stricken communities around the globe. Pujols Kitchen Cookware is the culmination of 4 years of ethnographic research alongside village women in the Dominican Republic who cook traditional recipes using age-old cookware. The design of this new line of products is inspired from the local ingredients, indigenous cooking methods, and the traditional calderos that these women use to provide delicious & nutritious meals to their families and communities. The Taínos designs incorporated into Pujols Kitchen Cookware reflect an ancient Dominican Indian art that is rich in symbolism to the people of the Dominican Republic. The cookware builds off the aesthetic authenticity of traditional cast aluminum calderos to create state-of-the-art, 3-ply stainless steel construction, the pinnacle of modern cookware design. From the hand-balanced utensils to the handle shape of the lids, pans & calderos, each piece has been ergonomically engineered to be more comfortable and easier to use than any other cookware on the market. As added conveniences, the cookware is oven and dishwasher safe, and enables quick and even heating. A modern feature for additional safety, Taínos glyphs are debossed on all silicone handles of the utensils, glass lid handles, and calderos & pan handles to provide cool touch, non-slip grips.

Pujols Kitchen Cookware was designed to honor the heritage of the Dominican Republic and provide assistance to the women of the Dominican Republic and those suffering from poverty globally. The Batea communities of the Dominican Republic are the starting line for a global mission to fulfill a physical and spiritual hunger. Sales profits will help provide donations of Pujols Kitchen Cookware and non-perishable food to those in need.
