Goals :- As Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) is a strategic partner of the Hong Kong Government in developing Hong Kong as an international design hub in Asia, core messages would be carried within the annual report: (1) Champion strategic and wider use of design for creating business value and community benefits. (2) Promote and celebrate design excellence. (3) Educate the professions and the community to be resourceful champions for sustained developments through design and innovation. Results :- (A) A symbolic visual was created to illustrate the theme of this year: A City Driven by Design -- A Community Embracing Design (i) Uplifting arrow --- upgrade, enhance, being driven with direction and power. (ii) Skyscraper in hard graphics --- imply international city, metropolitan, well developed but still developing. (iii) Thin line with red dots --- imply different milestones and goals achieved and set by HKDC. (B) Small folded paper as divider within the report: Highlight the core beliefs of HKDC in different aspects they served the community.
Danny Wong completed his study in BA in industrial design from Hong Kong Poly University School of Design in 1992. He then worked as designer, design manager, design consultant and visiting lecturer through his 9-year career in Hong Kong and started his own design business, Wiseman International Digitech Limited, since 2001 till now. Wiseman is a branding agency which is strong in brand marketing strategy and planning. The agency is acknowledged with a number of awards, both domestic and international. Wong is active in local design field and was occasionally invited by companies, commercial organizations, public organizations, NGO and design education parties to release speech and sharing in design-related topics.
