Entry Description

By introducing homelike experience in public space, the design "Living Inside-out" borrows analogy and quality of private living room and terrace, which signify concept of cozy home to enable sharing quality time with family and friends at outdoor public setting. Seats with different sizes, shapes and orientation are arranged instead of normal bench that only affords single orientation, face to face chatting and intimate communication are facilitated. Applying Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), a durable synthetic rubber usually applied for playground flooring, is the first case being adopted as major material for constructing body of furniture. It performs excellent in shock absorption, weather resistance, water permeation, and vivid color fit for different users and HK weather. 70% filler of the work is recycled tyres and reclaimed pave stones. The Fiberglass seating platform in white color is designed for easy dismounted and maintenance. LED stand lamps are powered by solar energy.
