The unique feature of this design is that the jewelry was created by arranging Japanese traditional technique, Tsumami zaiku, to make Kanzashi flowers. Kanzashi flower is Japanese traditional folded flowers made from fabric that is used by women as hair ornaments. Another unique property is making Mizuhiki into jewelry element. Mizuhiki is an ancient Japanese art form that used a special cord. The cord is usually created from rice paper that is tightly wound, starched to give it stiffness, and then colored. Usually, Mizuhiki is used to make ornate knots decorate packages and notes. And I designed the piece utilizing the characteristics of Swarovski crystal that maintain their sparkling brilliance and shine for the life of the crystal.
