Joseph Janus? rise in the fashion world started at an early age in Los Angeles reviving the JNCO Jean Company into a multi-million dollar corporation. Being recognized as a fashion leader, Janus gained notoriety through publications such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Brand Week magazine. He was awarded with the coveted ?marketer of the year? title in 1997 by Advertising Age magazine. Janus was recruited to direct the advertising and marketing department at Calvin Klein in New York City. Working directly with Mr. Klein, Janus was essential in launching new brand extensions in some of the most memorable campaigns for the Calvin Klein brand, including successful launches in fragrance, fashion and accessories. He was instrumental in re-branding Calvin Klein jeans, CK one and introducing to the marketplace Calvin Klein makeup and handbags.

With Janus? expertise in fashion-forward designs, he has recently launched the luxury handbag line BODHI for JenUSA. As creative director and designer, Janus is able to implement his 20 years of fashion experience.

BODHI features Italian leather, custom hardware and exotics such as python, alligator, and ostrich in unique silhouettes such as the clutch, hobo, satchel, tote, and messenger. The men?s collection begins at $888 and goes up to $12,000. ?We?re a fashion bag company making our own rules and trends,? says Janus. ?Each hand-crafted Bodhi bag is a true celebration of handbag art.?

With BODHI?s immediate placement in some of the highest end retailers across the U.S. such as Fred Segal, Nordstrom, Takashimaya and Raleigh Limited Menswear, Janus launched his campaign in Europe where his line quickly found a home in some of the trendiest retailers and boutiques. The BODHI Spring 2009 line will expand to include a full collection of men?s while introducing a line of 8 signature fragrances to fully create this lifestyle brand.

Using the same market savvy he honed in the fashion industry, Janus created Fearless Management to manage music artists, assemble groups and produce music. Most recently, Janus discovered and signed singer songwriter and humanitarian Ben Jelen to Custard records where his latest album is gaining critical praise. Under Janus? direction, Ben Jelen?s first single hit the billboard hot seekers top 10 and was the title track to the 2003 hit movie ?Finding Neverland? which launched Ben Jelen?s career into a household name. This year, Janus and Jelen developed a charity titled ?The Ben Jelen Foundation? to help create a greener earth. Collecting donations from Fiji water, Altoids and Caf? Bustelo, their charitable efforts combined will help fund green initiatives around the globe.
