Entry Description

The fall/winter 08 women?s collection is more extensive and complete than any season before it with offerings silhouette ranging from funky flats to
stilettos worthy of any vixen.
The selection presents fabulous and edgy new takes on the company?s top-selling shapes. Choice examples include the leather Meghan Bootie in
statement making bronze, black or patent black/red with a 4-inch heel and removable hardware-adorned strap. The Karlsson Platform Shoe features
three colorways that easily go from a casual to dress - rustic metallic, patent-black and pewter and black and red. With the stylings of a ballerina flat, the
Felicia, is transformed and exudes rebellion with a studded metal strap. The carry-over Sarah Pump showcases a stiletto heel and shapely soft-tumbled
leather which adds to its sophisticated sensibility. Colorways like black/red and silver give Sarah a fresh look for the fall.
The boot selection offers new silhouettes as well as core carryovers in lustrous new leathers like noir and rich brown, as seen on the Leatrice Riding
Boot ? SHANE&SHAWN?s downtown hardware-clad rendition of the equestrian boot. The Yola Knee Boot with its leather ankle straps and buckles is
powerful and streamlined.

Bio

Shane and Shawn Ward sure do make a great pair, of shoes that is. The identical twin brothers have been shaking up
the footwear industry with innovative designs and silhouettes for over a decade. In the of Fall 2003, they launched
Detny by SHANE&SHAWN, a label committed to men?s and women?s footwear that suits fashion and function. The
brothers took their already established brand to the next level by introducing SHANE&SHAWN in Spring 2006. The
brands focuses on ?blurring the line between what people desire aesthetically ? and the ?fit and feel? of athletic
footwear,? ultimately, eliminating the choice between comfort and style on the consumer level.
ABOUT SHANE WARD
Born of seven brothers and sisters in Detroit, Michigan, Shane quickly learned how to distinguish himself in a crowd by
becoming a straight ?A? student. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Industrial Design. After
college, he scored a coveted internship with General Motors. But it was the position with Adidas that would fuel Shane?s
desire to design footwear. Being sought after by top footwear companies, such as Puma, Converse and Fila, prompted Shane
to start a freelance consultancy company, SW2DESIGN, along with his brother. Shane remains the creative force behind
Detny By SHANE&SHAWN and SHANE&SHAWN. He may call Detroit home, but he currently lives and designs in New
York City.
ABOUT SHAWN WARD
One half of the twin design duo, Shawn spent his youth in Detroit amidst a large close-knit family. Ambitious and intelligent,
he went from being a star-student at Cass Tech high school to attending the University of Michigan where he graduated at the
top of his class with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He put his degree to use at Diamler Chrysler as a product developer.
All his life, Shawn has always been at the eye of the storm so it was natural next step when he relocated to New York and
became a day trader on the NASDAQ stock exchange before joining Shane in operating at SW2DESIGN. As the co-CEO
and President of Detny, Shawn lends his business savvy by managing marketing, research and finance. Currently he resides
in New York City.
SHANE&SHAWN and Detny by SHANE&SHAWN are available at fine boutiques and departments stores throughout the
United States, New Zealand and Canada. Nordstrom and Zappos.com are a couple amongst a robust list of retailers. The
