Entry Description

Situated at the top floors of one of the tallest buildings in Beijing - the Fortune Plaza Phase II - and located within the Central Business District, this duplex apartment offers a panoramic view of the city, with the CCTV Tower in close vicinity and the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Tiananmen Square at a nearby distance.

The client enjoys entertaining friends and family at home, and hence the design intent is to create a relaxing and cozy, yet sophisticated ambience for the duplex. The apartment is well furnished with a lush living room, four bedrooms, dining room with a 26-seater dining table, wine cellar, fully-equipped kitchen, tearoom, game room, lounge and study – which is just perfect for entertaining.

One’s eyes are instantly drawn to the elaborate mosaic floor design of the entrance upon entering the premises. Further adorned with gold paneled walls, the hallway oozes modern chic with a touch of class.

A reflecting pool at the foot of the stairway adds an air of tranquility and serenity while the exquisite twisted design of the stair railings echo with that of the custom design pendant light at the dining room. The ingenious design of the dining room light fixtures allows them to be arranged in different configurations in accordance with different table arrangements. A special design sliding door between the living room and dining room allows the flexibility to merge the two areas when entertaining large groups while the high ceiling of the living room creates spatial sense.

Each room is characterized by different design themes – modern luxe, modern chic, minimalist or oriental – blended with a signature contemporary style, and exudes individual charm. Custom-made contemporary European furniture is the furniture of choice.

The eclectic design approach brings together elements from different styles, creating an oasis of comfort and luxury amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.
