Title: THE SPACE IN MUTABLE BALANCE
Topic: the absence of an architectural proposal in the field of mental health, if projected from an integral perspective, this is, understanding that the environmental, social, biological, physical, emotional and mental facts, can directly affect health.
The project seeks to demonstrate that from the architectural field it is possible to contribute in the development of the human mental balance, from the creation of integrated spaces to the city and to the natural elements, which are engaged in the treatment, prevention, and research of this topic.
Three basic actions that shape the proposal at all scales (metropolitan-urban-architectural):
Balance, it seeks the integration between natural and artificial elements in the city, this term also refers to the uses to be found within the city, that is, for an individual to find a balance he/she must balance all aspects of their life .
Mutability, this idea refers to the changes sometimes slow and other times vertiginous through which the city and the people who inhabit it go through. The city should be seen as a living being that changes, transforms itself and even gets ill. This is about contemplating change as part of the design itself.
Atomization, this is a response to two situations. The first is the physical and perceptive isolation of people with any mental illness, the byproduct of the existing facilities available (isolated or disarticulated). The second situation is the response or option for the implantation of the project in places where there are no large lots or areas for the construction of a single building, then small and urban vacant and unused spaces most be used. In both situations, the action to atomize seeks that the architecture no longer be a building but to transform itself to become a city.
