Ettore Sottsass: Important Works from a Private
Collection was a Christie’s Private Selling exhibition
held in New York focusing on the work of this Italian
architect and designer. Christie’s Creative Studios
assembled a campaign inspired by Sottsass’ avant-
garde aesthetic, characterised by the confluence of
industrial design, literature and late 1960s politics.
This approach was reflected in the book designed for
the collection, collateral material and use of space and
light in the exhibition.
