Basis, a leading technology in the market for wearable
health products, is a pioneering connected health and
heart rate monitor for the wrist. Wearing the Basis band
perpetuates conspicuous wellness by collecting data
such as heart rate, calories burned, sleep patterns, and
physical activity and providing a digital forum for users
to share progress and earn rewards.
In preparation for launch in an increasingly crowded
market, Basis needed a distinct product and visual
language that communicated its mission to help people
get and stay healthy. Method was tasked with developing
and extending a new brand identity and digital
experience across key consumer touchpoints that
included packaging, marketing website and web
dashboard. Additional consideration was given to how
the brand would extend to the device through color,
iconography, hard buttons and the on-screen user
interface.
The result is an elegant visual system to complement the
sophistication of the Basis technology that feels human-
centric, social, and approachable.
