Andrea Castelletti is an Italian multidisciplinary art director and designer living and working in Milan. His work has been featured in numerous books, blogs and websites, and won various design awards, including three Graphis Platinum, seven Graphis Gold, one Graphis Silver and an ADCI bronze among others.
Before obtaining his bachelors degree from IED Milan in 2007 he won a contest organized by PepsiCo in which he created the new identity of Pepsi Twist, featuring his artwork on more than 10 million bottles and cans. In 2008 he started collaborating with the advertising agency TW2 (Milan and New York). During this period he also got involved in the making of social/political posters. Some of his work has been displayed in exhibitions in more than 40 cities around the world, including Les Art Dcoratifs, Palais du Louvre in Paris and La Triennale Design Museum in Milan. In 2010 he was named Young Talent of the year by TNT Festival powered by Italian Government. Blending handcraft, photography and illustration with digital design and strategy, Castelletti works primarily on branding, advertising, graphic design and packaging. He has worked on projects for numerous clients including Lavazza, Technogym and McDonald's. He has been jury member of Poster for Tomorrow (Paris), Walls Down (5th International Poster Exhibition) Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (Peru) and ADCI (Art Directors Club of Italy). Castelletti currently works as a Freelance Creative Director and as a Deputy Creative Director for Alberto Baccari's creative agency (Milan and New York) If not at work, he can be found teaching Graphic Design and Art Direction at IED (European Institute of Design), playing with his dog Paloma, drinking blueberrie juice, or travelling around the world with his sweetie Caterina. |
