Samantha Aliferov is a creative director, designer, illustrator and contemporary artist.
Based in New York City, she is Creative Director at Starfish Agency where she leads a team of designers in branding and advertising for a vast array of clients. Her work has been recognized by numerous industry bodies including American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators, GCSF, Instagram, and ADDY.
Samantha’s passion for art, design, photography, language and strategic thinking allow her work to tell unique and timeless stories. Always thinking beyond the screen she brings her design into environmental graphics, sculptures or tangible assets to create branded experiences. With profound design empathy she is able to transform clients’ dreams to fruition with understanding and customization. Because each brand touchpoint reinforces the brand experience her design work embodies the importance of consistency and detail across each point in the story.
Currently she specializes in rebranding buildings with owners such as RFR, where she most recently rebranded the iconic Seagram Building. She has worked with clients including Gallup, ADL, Alexander Wang, SodaStream, Pamela Roland, Hologic, PWC, RFR, JLL, Vornado, Stawski Partners, NYC Health, Everlane, Belletrist, Clara, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, Elle Magazine.
Founded in 2016, Samantha also runs a personal creative studio – Sam Life, where she works directly with clients on freelance design, painting, and sculpture. She collaborates with DJs, musicians, fashion designers, start ups on album art, sculptural fashion window displays, and custom glass doors. Her fine art paintings and sculptures are commissioned for private homes, galleries and murals from New York to California.
Samantha graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a Communications Design major,(Illustration, Graphic Design, and Advertising) and a minor in Art History. Additionally she studied creative writing at the University of Pennsylvania.
