The outsiders was originally published in 1967 and it soon became an icon of the decade.
That is the reason why, as an inspiration for the graphic project, we decided to use an aesthetic associated with the publications of that time, characterized by photographs so strongly contrasted that bear resemblance to illustrations.
The urban typography and the graphic elements bring to mind the grunge aesthetic which is very associated with the story of the book.
The graphic design studio of Anderson Junqueira started its activities in the spring of 2014 and works with publishers, institutions, companies, cultural producers and artists.
Anderson Junqueira (Rio de Janeiro, 1992) is a graphic designer graduated from UFRJ (2014) and specialized in Marketing and communication at UVA (2018). He's currently studying for a Master's degree in Creative Media at UFRJ.
He has worked on award-winning projects throughout his career, including Type Directors Club, USA; International Design Awards, USA and Bienal Ibero Americana de diseño, SPA.
