Inspired by human-dynamism, Bloom is floor lamp designed to encourage a dialogue between humans and objects by creating an active engagement that integrates sensorial and gestural features. The dimmable lamp switches on through the central brass disc which acts as a touch sensor. The accordion paper screen can be adjusted at various angles and acts as an additional dimmer for more ambient lighting. The Sapele wood disc and brass elements were made using the turning process on the lathe.
