Architects are used to designing visually. This book explores the interactions between sound and hearing, space and architecture.
Sound adds the book to another dimension.
The structure of the book explores an order of magnitude from the intimate scale of the ear to the architectural scale of the environments. At the same time, it provides the reader with a framework of understanding how sound in space is deeply intertwined.
The interactive bookmark transforms sounds into a graphic notation.
Aiqi Zhang prototypes in all dimensions and finds emerging relationships between media, architecture, and design in an interdisciplinary way. With each project, she looks for ways to bring her work into a dimensional world, allowing people to experience it in new and exciting ways. She desires to have a multidisciplinary practice with no boundaries.
