This is a Positive Air Pressure Respirator( PAPR ) designed with off the shelf parts. Initially we started making molds for the silicon mask..then found a supplier, bought the silicon masks as it't much easier..and now we start making the PAPR.
The reason is that a silicon mask has a much better seal on the persons face, is available in different sizes and as we use medical parts, they are able to be used in hospitals.
