Fukuoka Zoological Garden operated by Fukuoka city is surrounded by the quiet residential area with green and open to the citizens and the facility’s grand concept “Oasis in the City” was developed because of such environments. In the gift shop the trees like Jack and Beans was designed to express the concept “Nurturing in Oasis, Restaurant’s design concept is “Blessing from Oasis,” and expresses nature as a motif to allows people experiencing the elements such as water, light, earth, and forest in sequence which create blessings. All this design is to be enjoyed by local children and adults.
