Entry Description

The proposal is a new hybrid material, made by mixed manufacturing technique, using nonwoven mechanical needle punching along with 3D printing technique.
A must in this proposal is the sustainable view, which is expressed on materials, as the mantle-base is made from discarded wool fibers (from the Combing Textile Process) and the 3D flexible filament is recyclable, according to producer’s info.
The pilot collection design was developed by the group designers, referencing the Ipê’s flower (Handroanthus tree species), that is registered as a Brazilian national symbol, for the 3D module pattern.
