The challenge was to create a poster series that captures diverse performances while maintaining cohesion. Every poster was rendered in a mix of acrylic and watercolor paints, paired with vector art. Each hints at duality:
• METAMORPHOSES: A fiery sun is reflected as a cold moon
• BERKELEY DANCE PROJECT: A female dancer leaps in empowerment, yet is suspended in scrutiny
• ALL IN THE TIMING: Hailing from opposing points of origin, two hourglasses briefly converse mid-flight
• MECHANICS OF LOVE: A single ballerina emerges from a multiverse, casting a kaleidoscope of shadows
Leila Singleton is a hands-on art and creative director in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She was drawing before age one, and had planned to study painting, but fell in love with graphic design. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with honors, from SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design).
