The aim of the project was to create a contemporary house on a hillside of pine trees. The dwelling, carefully placed on the plot of land, minimizes its environmental impact. Both the land slope and the concern to reduce excavation work in a rocky soil determined the final shape of the narrow volume following the level lines of the land. Our intention was to obtain an architectural object that blends into the landscape but also stands out of it, leading us to a reduced palette of durable materials that, applied on abstract planes, go beyond a merely decorative and conventional aesthetic.
