The concept of this dining ensemble centers around the act of gathering for a meal. In some cultures, sharing a meal is the greatest generosity, with entire festivals devoted to this idea. The coming together of different ingredients and people is what the design aimed to capture. With this, the chairs, table, and tray are constructed entirely out of maple wood and nest inside one another when not in use. The form of the light fixture above merges three bent metal sheets and three light bulbs to emphasize the act of coming together.
