Entry Description

I wept, and stayed awake all night asking: why? This recalls the night when 233 Kurdish civilians were killed by ISIS. It was my first encounter with death for freedom, A slogan emerged from the heart of Kurdistan's fight for freedom: Resistance is Life. Visiting Qandil Mount, I saw Purple flowers growing on the snow as if they were chanting: Resistance is Life. These flowers became the inspiration for this work to remind the resistance in the path of life.
