The Museum of Transport is a new home for one of the oldest transport museums in Europe, located at a former railway yard. The idea of ground transportation is a central organizing principle for the Museum, highlighting the role of ground in our urban and infrastructural planning. It defamiliarizes this often overlooked surface by excavating, lifting, and cutting it to produce immersive and unexpected environments, allowing visitors to interact spatially with curated exhibits and artifacts. The site's historic Diesel Hall is adapted for the exhibition of large-scale transit vehicles.
