Children drawings and paintings are very expressing and spontaneous. In their very sad paintings, you always find a glimmer of hope, an expressed feeling, will and an innate right within.
Colors speak in their drawings which stand for life, satisfaction, gratitude, happiness, orientation, a sense of taste and a call for a second chance. A child’s drawing always put a smile on our faces.
For the very recent years, the entire globe experienced tought economic, social and political phases. The impact of these can be noticed in some designs which come to be more complex and gloomy but fashionable meanwhile.
My project hereby introduced to IDesign Awards 2015 Competition, presents a new concept for textile design based on printed and unprinted children drawings and paintings. The product will serve for fashion (both haute couture and prêt-à-porter).
The main types of textile on which the designs may apply are silk, cotton and polyster. Some designs may involve printed tissu and sewn fabric.
By this project, I want to show that life is simple and joyful as seen through the eyes of children even those who are in unstable situations.
