Students were to gain comprehensive knowledge about a
culture that they previously knew very little about. After
extensive research, students designed the logo for the
center that visually communicated the very essence of
the culture.
The chosen culture was Iceland, or as it is commonly
known, “the land of fire and ice.” The design was drawn
from the nature of Iceland, which is as diverse as it’s
slogan suggests. I experimented with different
abstractions of the two elements, and how those
different abstractions could come together to create a
cohesive mark.
