Entry Description

Crop(ped) is seeking a more explorative way to revitalize, socially and economically, a grade two listed building in London by doing a selective demolition while putting a new infill. The study case chosen is Regent’s Park Mosque.
The aim is tackle the distrust towards contextual Muslim community through opening its enclosure, represented by the building’s perimeter. Sharing spaces is the key approach to reverse negative attitudes. This is achieved through activating and linking three spaces, the mosque courtyard, the adjacent abandoned land in Regent’s park, and the underappreciated pond.
