Entry Description

“I can take any empty space and call it a bare stage. A man walks across this empty space whilst someone else is watching him, and this is all for an act of theatre to be engaged.“ Peter Brook / Stuttgart's famous historical opera and theatre houses need an extension, including a new venue for contemporary performance. The design answers to Stirling's neighbouring Staatsgalerie and creates three public spaces instead of the existing, 'city autobahn'. Those now connect the city's most important cultural institutions while allowing the public a sneak preview of the workshops and other processes.
