COJE’s new restaurant draws on the faded beauty and decayed elegance of pre-revolutionary Havana to bring Cuba’s rich culture and cuisine to Boston’s historically subdued Financial District. Located within a former bank, Mariel blurs the lines between dining, drinking and nightlife with each of its carefully designed guest experiences: the dining area boasts 23-foot ceilings, travertine walls, and striking chandeliers, giving way to an intimate bar and lounge area accented by colorful murals, encouraging guests to engage in the free-flowing revelry so ingrained in the island nation’s culture.
