The city network is assembled by variety of physical and immaterial systems. A self-sufficient network which utilizes, emerges with and recycle the natural resources determined the future growth and prosperity of the city. In an age of global water scarcity, water emerge as this century’s most essential product. The Earth is indeed ocean-dominated, it is peculiar to state the fact that only 1% of its water is fresh and accessible, while the steep decline of our water resources is mainly due to human mismanagement.
The design explored new water management and utilization strategies to approach the design of a new self-sufficient urban network. At the same time, envisioning the future water-infrastructure as a self-sustainable and ecological network that bolster our transportation, ecology, energy and recreational systems in cities.
