Merging is a body of work that seeks to open horizons in fiber innovation in order to stimulate a natural habitat within interior environments. Through the use of an AVL Dobby loom, color and structure unite into a three-dimensional textile. A fiber landscape made of relief waffle patterns that rise and sink into a sensory experience to engage with the environments we are intimately a part of. Merging is a window that provides a vista of meditation revealing the strengths within our senses through an ambient, nurturing, and intimate sensory experience.
