The renovation of a 17,000-SF penthouse with a shaded roof deck provides a shared workplace for three distinct firms sharing common amenities. A central “piazza” opens onto shared and individual spaces such as conference rooms, library, lounges, coffee bar, and focus rooms. Natural light from four exposures and large skylights floods into the spaces. Multiple layers of glass walls and partitions allow for the light to enter deep into the interior. Wood louvered walls tie the workplace together and act as both filter and screen, balancing transparency with privacy.
