The architectural genius of the open-plan kitchen continues to evolve. When building their new custom home in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson Arizona, the best design option was a modified lay-out with plenty of room for food prep, cooking, clean-up and loads of storage. Their dream kitchen aesthetic also needed to include clean, crisp lines and a mixture of materials and finishes that would embody their sense of polish and style.
A great kitchen needs to be a place where memories are made; where family and friends can gather, and where everyone leaves content. Because the homeowner’s did want a slight definition between the dining area and kitchen, a pass through was planned to separate each space without closing them in. Surrounded by wide open spaces and panoramic views, this kitchen and dining room combination invites people to sit back, relax and enjoy.
