Entry Description

Lack of sleep for new parents is an everyday norm, but it
can quickly become a health problem for both parents
and the baby. The standardized methodology to soothe
crying babies is the 5 S’s, a method developed by world-
famous pediatrician Dr. Harvey Karp. SNOO is a robotic
bassinet that reacts to your baby’s cries and movements
to replicate the 5 S’s, exactly the way Dr. Karp would
himself.

With a number of sensors and microphones hidden into
its mesh encasing, SNOO uses movement and sound to
create a womb-like environment that comforts the baby
and helps them sleep in just minutes. The unique
swaddle keeps the baby on his/her back, which also
makes SNOO the safest baby bed in the world. With its
beautiful and timeless aesthetic, SNOO shifts our
paradigm of what a robot looks like, and how it can
improve our daily lives.
