The necklace conception had the stars and constellations as its inspiration. Bright spots linked by structural lines forming a three-dimensional construction. The piece was manufactured in absolutely handmade techniques giving a totally authorial and exclusive character. Only natural materials were chosen in its construction. The main goal was to demystify the use of pearls only in classic and traditional designs. Pearls can and should be used in bold, contemporary or even rustic designs.
Materials: Bamboo beads, white freshwater cultured pearls, leather and mother of pearl shell button.
I am graduated in Product Design in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil where I was born and raised. After I had been working in interior and landscape design, I became a goldsmith and started my jewelry business in 2006. I started creating jewelry collections for Brazilian fashion brands and two years later, launched my own brand called Hefestos (God of fire and metals in Greek mythology). In 2011, I opened my first retail store and two years later the second one. With my family moving to Florida/USA in 2016, I sold my Brazilian brand and now I'm launching my new American brand called Camilla Marcondes.
