Muntaner House

In this house of more than 250 m2, a comprehensive reform of interior design and decoration was carried out. In the upper area of Barcelona, ​​the owners acquired an old house where the main objective was the redistribution of spaces, creating homogeneous and fluid areas. The created rooms dialogue between them and are characterized by their elegance and personality. The original elements of the house were kept as the frame of the suite and the moldings on the ceiling that we find in the dining room. The laps of the kitchen were also preserved, since they create a very creative contrast.

TRS is lead by his two partners Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdomènech, both of them are Creative and Projects Directors.

Last March 2024, The Room Studio was recognised with the iF Design Award 2024 for its creation, LUMOMESH. An illuminated acoustic panel that has been awarded in the category of Textiles / Wall / Floor, highlighting its ability to redefine the aesthetics and functionality of spaces.

Last year 2023, The Room Studio was awarded with different prizes:

In the London Design Awards the first winning project was "Casa Tres Torres", which won the GOLD category of the competition. This project was awarded the top prize in the category "Best Interior Design for an International Residential Villa".

The projects "Chamberí Penthouse" and "Anglí Triplex" both received the SILVER Award in the category "Best International Housing".

In the SBID International Design Awards, the project distinguished as winner was "Vivienda Mallorca".

On the other hand, The Room Studio won the award for "Best Stand Design" at Interihotel for the acoustic panel company ECOcero.

In addition to these, The Room Studio has many other previous awards to its name;

In 2022, the projects "Casa Sant Just" and "Vivienda Pau Alcover" were finalists in the SBID.
In 2021, it won the Best Project Award at Casa Decor.
In 2020, the project "Vivienda Aragó" won the GOLD award at the London Design Awards.
And previously, in 2019, "Vivienda Muntaner" won the Bronze category at the IDA Design Awards.
