Entry Description

PlayBench is an amalgamation of playgrounds, theatres and benches aimed to reduce the gap between different generations. Structured to act as a pop-up social space, PlayBench aims to redefine public seating in huge open spaces in Jakarta with a 3D printable structure that can be easily introduced into an area. Catering to the playful innocence of children, PlayBench features many of a playground’s most beloved elements including a uniquely designed wall, a free-hanging swing, a slide, and a seating area for others to sit, making it a space for social interaction as well as childish play.
