Inspired by site complexity,we approached the design with the guiding theme of“embracing”.Touching the sky,embracing the ground&river,bridging the valley are 3 cornerstones of masterplan & design integrating resort into nature.Layers of Ubud’s strong culture&art are added into tangible textures,nuances & materiality of the architecture.Site analysis revealed numerous points that could potentially create moments of awe&respite for visitors.From high promenades to sleep slopes,to crossing rivers with strong black stone banks- proposed masterplan uses each key point & view as frames&experiences.
