Entry Description

The overall design philosophy behind the project is to improve the user experience through an elegant, simplistic and modular robotic system. The project emphasizes modularity in portability and functionalities for sample collection, disinfectant spray and surveillance. As the world’s first reconfigurable robot for drain inspection and maintenance, it envisions reconfigurability through diagonal reconfiguration. This innovative mechanism enables the robot to transform multiple morphological dimensions (length and width) for better stability and versatility to operate in closed drains.
