A Reflective Getaway

Lead Designers
Entry Description

Objectives:
To create a private getaway and luxurious bedroom located in a brownstone apartment for a young independent, happy and spirited female entrepreneur in mind.
To design and accent the space with furnishings and objects that the client revered and that reflected her successes and passions.
To blend the contemporary art, high-end, and one-of-a-kind pieces with a reference to Old Hollywood Glamour living.

Concept:
A clean lined and eclectic design with walls washed in a muted blue-gray hue. This mellow shade of blue-gray, also introduced through the textured wallpaper, linen drapery panels, and the fabric covered closet doors, is punctuated by unexpected accents of warm chocolates, inviting fuchsias, and citron greens. The room is then conjoined with punches of off-white elements and ebony trim that help ground and give the space a sense of continuity and flow. Cerused light walnut furniture is balanced by the reflective vintage mirrored surfaces. Matching table lamps, symmetrically placed, create a clean and simple look. The ?Grid? headboard and bed was custom designed by and produced through KT Design Solutions, LLC.
