Growing up a Black Muslim-American felt like being a stranger in a foreign land. My collection is relevant to today’s issues of racism, discrimination, hate crimes, and police brutality against Black and Muslim people. I created this collection to inspire people to feel confident and comfortable without having to hide their identity. I merged contemporary Western fashion with traditional Eastern silhouettes. Worlds Collide is contemporary and modest while being fashion forward.
