This rain jacket made from fused single-use plastic bags. I collected hundreds of plastic bags and I experimented with numerous ways to manipulate the material. I decided to fuse bags together and screen print my original designs on top of them. I then sewed all of the pieces together to make 4 larger quilts that were then cut and sewed into a jacket that I lined with a second hand material. This piece is intended to bring attention to the copious amounts of plastic waste that can be found in our landfills, oceans and littering our beautiful planet.
