Entry Description

The inspiration for this knit piece stemmed from the desire to create a comfort object to benefit those who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression etc. An object that not only provides this sense of comfort, but doubles as a visually happy art piece for any space. My goal was to create a large-scale, colorful soft sculpture that allows you to fully intertwine yourself in, in hopes to alleviate these common gray feelings we all tend to have. Almost like a big soft hug. These soft cuddles allow your brain to release oxytocin, which has a positive impact on our mental well-being.
