Entry Description

Book City is a dynamic& responsive architecture to provides interactive environment open to public. The idea of cultural street along site perimeter grows into the building and escalates vertically through terraces& atrium,vertical form of cultural space& book program brings unprecedented interact experience to readers. Facade composes of vertical shading devices to filter sunlight at different angles to remind the dynamic motion of flipping books. Large façade openings were designed next to large terraces,the substantial amount of existing greenery bring nature&fuses seamlessly with interior.
