Entry Description

The Museum of Mechanical Toys is an extension of the MAD Museum located in 2 Columbus Circle, New York, NY 1001. The Museum of Arts and Design has received a large bequest to open a second Manhattan location, downtown on West 20th Street, with the stipulation that this museum focus on Mechanical Toys. A separate bequest will be forthcoming to be used to form the collection.
This project proposes a new museum system, a new way to explore them. The building itself is a giant toy that rides you trough the entire space using different designed mechanized system, making a constantly moving space.
